With this toolkit, the goal is to train organizations on an evidenced based intervention to reduce opioid-related overdoses and to improve safety around opioid medication use. The OPT-IN Intervention is a 30-minute brief Motivational Interviewing-based conversation to assist clients with increasing safe opioid use and naloxone knowledge. ​
